TE MATA PEAK, HAVELOCK NORTH, NEW Z EALAND

Updated: Apr 7, 2021

The landscape here is unbelievable - undulating sunburnt hills and valleys and some amazing rock face formations. It’s not until you have driven up Te Mata Peak, parked and taken one of the many walking or biking tracks, that you get to realise just how spectacular it is.

On one side, the view down to the immaculately groomed Craggy Range vineyard is just beautiful and the meandering Tuki Tuki river that defines the valley, adds that perfect water view. The lifestyle properties here are perfectly positioned to grab the afternoon sun and to enjoy the tranquility of it all.

You could imagine yourself in France, driving under the canopy of lime-green branches on one part of your journey out to Red Bridge, where we have enjoyed coffee and warmed croissants under the big umbrellas and served from a converted container - on a corner in the middle of nowhere. It’s a very popular watering hole for locals and tourists alike.

The Tuki Tuki Valley with lifestyle properties dotted throughout.

Looking over the amazing Craggy Range vineyard. Beautiful boutique accommodation, cellar door, restaurant and wines to die for.

Just look at that landscape ... Hello, New Zealand!

Red Bridge - coffee from the converted container. A great place to meet up.

Here's my little bit of France ... I still miss it.
