ANZAC DAY 2020

Updated: Jul 31, 2020

I think we must be the only New Zealanders living in Teddington. There was no one else visiting the poppy memorial in our High Street at 5.30am. The Last Post was playing on my phone and Steve and I bowed our heads and “remembered them” - not only those that died during the wars but also those that went to war and survived. My dad was one of those.

My attempt at making ANZAC biscuits was an utter failure, as you will see. I don’t have measuring cups or spoons here and do a lot on guesstimate. “A bad workman always blames his tools” .... or lack of them. However, my “flatmates” at car-park coffee this morning were very happy to munch on them.
