Each morning that it is fine, some of our ‘flatmates’ bring their camping chairs down to our car park and we enjoy a chit-chat, suitably distanced of course, for an hour or more. I’ve been able to get flour, baking powder, baking soda and eggs and have been baking more than I ever have before - sharing the weight gain amongst my fellow flat dwellers. Today’s contribution was pikelets with butter and black currant jam.
Most of the flat dwellers are men on their own - for one reason or another and are all such nice people. I’ve even managed to draw out a professed ‘hermit’. He didn’t stop talking! So good to have all this interaction and a sense of “we are all in this together”.
This will pass.
